These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Prepstr iOS application, web platform, website available at www.getprepstr.com, and related services (together, the "Service").
The Service is provided by PREPSTR, a French simplified joint stock company (SAS), registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under SIREN 104108642, SIRET 10410864200018, VAT number FR03104108642, with registered office at 11 rue de Pommard, 75012 Paris, France ("Prepstr", "we", "us").

1. Acceptance of the Terms
By creating an account, using the Service, starting a free or paid feature, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
These Terms supplement the Apple Media Services terms and the Apple standard licensed application end user license agreement where applicable. If you download the app from the App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's rules and policies.
2. The Prepstr Service
Prepstr provides preparation tools for English certification exams, including TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, and related training formats. The Service may include onboarding, personalized plans, exercises, mock exams, scoring, corrections, progress tracking, speaking and writing feedback, learning resources, and support.
Prepstr is an independent preparation service. Prepstr is not affiliated with ETS, TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, the British Council, IDP, Cambridge, or any other exam owner unless expressly stated.
3. Accounts
You may need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You may not share, sell, transfer, or make your account available to another person. Prepstr may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risks, abuse the Service, or infringe the rights of others.
4. Educational Nature and No Score Guarantee
Prepstr provides educational guidance, practice, and feedback. We do not guarantee that you will obtain a specific TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, or other exam score, admission result, job outcome, visa outcome, or academic decision.
Scores, bands, corrections, transcripts, AI feedback, and progress estimates generated by Prepstr are for training purposes only. They are not official exam results and may differ from the scoring of the official exam providers.
5. AI-Assisted Feedback
Some corrections, explanations, transcripts, and feedback may be generated or assisted by automated systems and AI providers. You should review feedback critically and use it as educational support, not as a definitive assessment.
You must not submit unlawful, harmful, infringing, confidential, or highly sensitive third-party information through exercises, support forms, or other input fields.
6. Apple Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
6.1 Subscription products
The iOS app may offer auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Available products may include weekly, monthly, and yearly Prepstr access, identified in App Store Connect and StoreKit as prepstr.weekly, prepstr.monthly, and prepstr.yearly.
6.2 Price, duration, and renewal
The subscription title, duration, price, price per period where applicable, free trial or introductory offer if any, and renewal terms are displayed in the app and in Apple's purchase sheet before you confirm payment. Prices may vary by country, currency, tax treatment, Apple storefront, and Apple settings.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, according to Apple's rules.
6.3 Cancellation and management
You can manage or cancel your Apple subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings or through the subscription management option available in the Prepstr iOS app. Deleting your Prepstr account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
6.4 Restore purchases
The iOS app includes a restore purchases option. Restoration depends on your Apple account, StoreKit entitlements, and successful verification by Prepstr's backend.
6.5 Refunds
Apple handles billing and refund requests for purchases made through In-App Purchase. Prepstr cannot directly issue Apple App Store refunds. You may request a refund through Apple where available under Apple's policies and applicable law.
7. Web Purchases and Stripe Payments
Prepstr may also offer web purchases, one-time plans, subscriptions, or custom services outside the iOS app. Where applicable, web payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider indicated before purchase. The specific price, duration, and access terms are those displayed before payment or agreed in writing.
The iOS app uses Apple In-App Purchase for digital access sold in the iOS app. We do not ask iOS users to bypass Apple's in-app purchase system for digital subscription access.
8. Account Deletion and Subscription Billing
You may initiate deletion of your Prepstr account from the iOS app account settings or by contacting contact@getprepstr.com. We may require confirmation to protect your account from accidental or unauthorized deletion.
If you have an active Apple subscription, account deletion does not cancel Apple billing. You must cancel or manage your subscription via your Apple ID subscription settings or the management option in the Prepstr app.
9. User Content
You retain ownership of answers, recordings, written responses, reports, and other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). You grant Prepstr a limited license to host, process, transmit, analyze, display, and use User Content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your User Content and that it does not violate laws, third-party rights, or these Terms.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- share your account or access credentials with another person;
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute Prepstr content or data;
- attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or bypass the Service;
- submit malicious code, abusive content, or unlawful content;
- use the Service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- misrepresent Prepstr feedback as an official exam result;
- use the Service in a way that violates applicable law.
11. Intellectual Property
Prepstr and its licensors own the Service, including software, interfaces, designs, texts, exercises, explanations, generated pedagogical materials, trademarks, and other content, except for your User Content. No rights are transferred to you except the limited right to use the Service according to these Terms.
12. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but the Service may be interrupted, unavailable, modified, or discontinued from time to time for maintenance, security, technical, legal, or business reasons. Prepstr may update features, content, pricing, and plans, subject to applicable law and Apple's rules for existing subscriptions.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Prepstr may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the Service, fail to pay where payment is due, misuse the Service, or if required by law. Termination does not affect payment obligations, legal retention requirements, or provisions that by nature should survive termination.
14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prepstr is liable only for direct damages caused by a proven breach of its obligations. Prepstr is not liable for indirect damages, loss of chance, loss of data caused by user action, exam outcomes, official scoring decisions, or decisions made by universities, employers, immigration authorities, or exam providers.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
15. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You should read it carefully before using the Service.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence. In case of a dispute, you agree to contact us first at contact@getprepstr.com so we can try to resolve the issue amicably.
Where required by French consumer law, consumers may use an applicable consumer mediation process. Nothing in these Terms removes rights granted by mandatory applicable law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify users through the app, website, or email. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
